Securityhunter, Inc. Founder and CEO, Michael S. Rogers, Retires and Names Executive Director, Ross Nelson as CEO
Baltimore, MD November 22, 2022
After 35 years of service, Securityhunter, Inc. founder, Michael S. Rogers officially retired as CEO during the Company Teambuilding Retreat in Ocean City.
As CEO of Securityhunter, Mr. Rogers brought a unique depth of knowledge to integrating electronic security systems for federal agencies. Under his leadership, Securityhunter grew from a one-man burglar alarm company to being the 13th largest security integration company in the United States. Securityhunter was ranked as the fastest growing company in Baltimore and the second fastest in the State of Maryland by Inc. Magazine. Securityhunter is also one of the largest providers of federal security systems under GSA Schedule 84.
When asked about retiring and his role as full time Chairman of the Board, Mr. Rogers said, “I have been very fortunate to have been able to grow this business from a $20,000 investment 35 years ago to where we are now – all without the help of an investment group. There’s no question that applying innovative military principles at Securityhunter has been one of the keys to our longevity. I’ve been blessed to have seen Securityhunter grow as it has and I’m proud to name Ross Nelson as the next CEO. Since joining the company, he has proven himself more than capable to take the company to the next level.”
When asked what it feels like to be chosen as the CEO of Securityhunter, Nelson said, “It is truly an honor. There are thousands of executives in the world that Securityhunter could have chosen instead of me. The faith that the board and our employees have placed in me is humbling. I will endeavor every day to be worthy of it.”
Rogers will remain the Chairman of the Board of Directors and will assume the role of Chief Marketing Officer.
